Scope and content
The fund preserves documentary material produced and collected by Elody Oblath and printed materials added later by her family members.
The Oblath Fund dialogues with the Stuparich Fund, also preserved in the Writers' Archive.
The "Diary" and the "Epistolary," are the two largest cores of the Oblath Fund.
The very large number of typescripts, arranged in folders and by year by Elody herself, reveal an early literary talent, nurtured over the years by reading the works of Italian and foreign authors and frequenting writers and intellectuals.
The writings, both in diary and epistolary form, present different versions of the same passages, reworked with corrections and identified with colored symbols in the various drafts.
Thus, from reading the typescripts, Elody's complex personality emerges, entrusting the most intimate expressions of her feelings to writing.
